  • Any user with Jira Access

Steps for creating a new Jira Bug:

  1. After you identify an issue as a Pub+ side issue and not as an outsourcing issue (FB side, or any other provider we work with), you go to Jira - Support board.

  2. Click on 'Create' at the upper side of the screen.

  3. On the pop-up screen that was opened, choose the 'Issue type' as 'Bug'

  4. In the 'Summary' field, enter a short sentence that explains the topic of the bug. For the clearest way, we use this format:
    {Feature name}: {short explanation of the issue}

    for example:
    ​Creation Wizard: The wizard crashes when creating campaigns

  5. In the Description field use this template to explain the issue:

    1. How to Reproduce: numeric list of the steps that are needed to reproduce the bug, for example:

      1. Go to Pub+ → Crunch-O

      2. Either duplicate or create a campaign from scratch using the wizard

      3. Make sure you are adding a tag to the campaign during the creation process

      4. Create the campaign

      5. Search for it in the Advanced Search

    2. Actual Behavior: Explain the actual result of the actions (explanation of bug itself, what happened)

    3. Desired: Explanation of how the product should work if there were no bugs

      This is how the final description should look like:

  6. Scroll down to the 'Epic Link' field and choose 'Support'

  7. Click 'Create' and send the issue link to the Product Manager in order to prioritize it.
