What is a Token?
A token is a Facebook user connected to a PubPlus network. This user is used to perform all campaign actions on Facebook, like creating or managing campaigns.
The token must have access to:
All Facebook ad accounts connected to the network
All Facebook Pages connected to the network
Networks using their ad accounts:
Sudo:
Go to 'Networks' tab
Click on the desired network to open its pop-up
Scroll to the Business Manager Token section
PubPlus Settings:
Go to the 'Account' tab
Select the desired network from the dropdown menu
In the 'Facebook Account' section, you'll see the currently connected user
Click Connect Facebook to open a pop-up window and connect a new Facebook user as a token
The user connected must have access to all ad accounts connected and to all the Facebook pages connected to Pub+ for this network
Networks using our ad accounts:
Networks connected to our ad accounts can use the 'system user' as a token. In each Business Manager on Facebook, there is a 'campaign-manager' system user that could be connected to PubPlus.
Sudo:
Go to 'Networks' tab
Click on the desired network to open its pop-up
Scroll to the Business Manager Token section
PubPlus Settings:
Go to the 'Account' tab
Select the desired network from the dropdown menu
In the 'Facebook Account' section, you'll see the currently connected 'system user' with the business manager that is connected
Business Manager Settings:
Go to the desired Business Manager that contains all the ad accounts connected to the network
Go to Settings
In the left navigation bar, under Users, select System Users
Click on the 'campaign-manager' user
Ensure this user has access to all connected ad accounts and Facebook Pages
If not, click on Assigned assets and assign all relevant accounts and pages
Token issues:
Missing Data from Facebook:
If data is missing in PubPlus from Facebook end, check the connected token. Ensure it is properly connected and does not have any restrictions from Facebook.
Campaign Creation Failure:
If a user is unable to create campaigns, verify that the connected token has access to all ad accounts and Facebook Pages connected to the networkAlso, check if any of the ad accounts or Pages have been restricted by Facebook
Unable to Manage Campaigns (e.g., change bids, budgets, or status):
Perform the same checks as in item 2 - ensure the token has the necessary accessToken or Ad Account Connection Issues:
If a user cannot connect a token to PubPlus, or if the token is connected but Facebook ad accounts cannot be linked to the network, refer back to the checks in item 2.
